    That's why there is a new generation of Skins characters every two years, because you spend these two years in college, which is a sort of limbo between school child and adult student or worker.

    In Britain, you stay in Comprehensive school (that's like a middle school) until you're sixteen and earned your GCSEs, then you spend two years in sixth-form to get A-levels and this is usually in a college. After that you go to university at 18.

    one thing i don't understand, i'm in america, why do they call it college if they are under 18? is that like community college or extended high school. i'm not sure how the school system runs there. 16 is considered an adult right?
