I love your coining of the term "baby bats": found myself splitting my sides reading some of this, I especially like 'the haircut available in topshop slag! Altough I wasn't as 'hardcore' as you, in that, I never took my fads as far as to make my own clothes (or beads) - that was my sister's calling!! I too have no understanding as to why these people exist... however, you are lucky in Liverpool, I'm from Belfast (Liv Student) and find the "baby bats" back home to have no purpose whatsoever, sitting, mopping outside city hall wearing a mixture of purple and flourescent yellow tights as there only escape from the dull mixture of black with black, they seem inept of holding any form of communication. It's scary!! Anyways, good to find someone of a similar viewpoint (there is a reason why I am writing this at 4am), that being I was looking for photos from skins party last night! Did you go? The turnout was terrible, but Crystal Castles were immense, so I was happy either way! x
