Our Community Guidelines

SkinsLife is intended to be an online Skins community that shares its creative ideas with a view to seeing the best of this creativity on the Skins Live Tour, on the site or in the show.

Here are just a few pointers to make sure that you get the best out of SkinsLife

1.) Upload your stuff.

SkinsLife is a great place to get your work out there, viewed and ultimately rewarded. We will highlight everything we think is noteworthy, whether it’s just a funny comment or a ten minute film you’ve made Basically we will try to give credit to originality and make sure that it is seen. We are deadly serious about finding new talent and if we do find something special, we will do our best to make a big deal about it and get the creator involved in the parties or in the show.

2.) You don’t have to upload anything if you don’t want to.

Don’t worry if you don’t want to upload anything. We are equally happy to be a place where you come to listen to, read or watch stuff you like.

3.) Be careful what you upload.

Obviously, SkinsLife will get into all kinds of trouble if we host copyrighted material. So we’d be extremely grateful if you made sure that the stuff you upload is all your own. For example, if you want to respond to one of Alex’s music articles with something by a band you have just discovered, don’t post an mp3 (we’ll all get into trouble for that..) instead, just link to their myspace account. However, if you are that upcoming band and you own the rights to your music, that’s when you should be putting up mp3’s. Link to your myspace too, of course…

4.) Let us know what you think

Just like the show, we are only as good as you think we are. If you have a brainwave about something we ought to be doing, just let us know and if it’s doable, we’ll, er, do it.

5.) Don’t be a sleaze.

We all know the type. If you find one, let us know. We’ll sort him out…

6.) Meeting People.

We really want everyone to have a great time at the Skins Live Tour Parties and meet up as a community. However, we also really don’t want anyone to get themselves into a dangerous situation. So, use the parties as a place to meet up with other Skins fans, but don’t arrange to meet someone you don’t know anywhere else (see point 5…)

7.) Found something that you don’t think should be on here?

Just email us (support@skinslife.com) and we’ll take it off the site.

8.) Enjoy it!

I know, I know; cheesy but true…

Lots of love,

Toby
