Nearly 1000 entries and counting - nice work.

Anyway, thought you'd like to know that the shoot day for this extras competition is this Monday (18th) and it is a great day to be on set, trust us on this one.

We'll be hand selecting our winners over the next couple of days and we will email the lucky few on Friday at Midday.

Don't worry if you don;t get through this time. We will be running another 3 extras comps over the coming months.

Right - we're about a quarter of the way through shooting Skins 3 and at the stage where great stuff is happening on a daily basis but, unfortunately, we can't tell you everything about it yet because we don't want to spoil anything for you...

However, we can get round this irritation by asking you what you'd like to know about Skins.

You can ask anything you like. From how The Slasher and The Butcher edit the show to anything at all about scriptwriting and the actual filming of Skins. You can even ask where Chris Lynd gets his shoes from or why Alex never smiles in photo's (I'll answer that one now - he thinks it made him look rugged, broody and appealing in this video).

Anyway, fire away and we'll get back to you soon.

So a few weeks back we asked you to post a picture of yourself on the site and tell us where you live so we could pick some of you to come on set as extras.

This turned out to be a lot of fun so we're going to do it again...

We ran a competition to send two of you as extras for the first rave scene of the new series.

Obviously we can't give away much, but there will be loads more of this stuff coming up soon.

We know you want to know who is in your new cast. We also know there are lots of rumours flying around and it is my unfortunate duty to inform you that McFly will not make up the majority of the new group.

We'll let you know who the real cast are with pictures, profiles interviews and what not as soon as we are allowed to.

In the mean time I will offer a small prize to the person with the most inspired casting ideas with McFly as the current benchmark. Feel free to qualify your choices with elaborate character descriptions.
